Cat’s Meow is the first ever low ceiling hand launched glider kit ever produced in the US. It builds to roughly 10g and uses Vector Board flaps which require no finishing. This is a surprisingly fast build which produces the beautiful slow glide that is a hallmark of the ultimate in hand launched glider performance. In expert hands, this model is extremely competitive and is in fact the top Cat II (intermediate ceiling heights) catapult glider design in the US.

Great for F1N, AMA Hand Launched Glider, and AMA Unlimited Catapult Glider.

This is a big, light model which requires careful attention in construction; precise sanding is needed to achieve its capabilities, and good gluing techniques are critical. Requires CA glue to attach flaps.

A really wonderful glider! The build was fairly straightforward and no overkill details in the design. For such a glider, you’d expect prices of an arm and a leg for one of these….

Nope! Better yet, trimming was incredibly easy. I managed to get mine to fly in a really compact space (living room) and still find the sink rate reasonable at a slightly faster speed.

My poor kitty is getting a bit beat up from the furniture, though, so my living room isn’t the best place to fly. Today the port side wing came off! Easy fix though.

Hand selected balsa and carbon fuselage. What more could you want?
