Eureka by Norman Marcus is one of the 2024 NFFS One Design power models. It is legal for NFFS A Nostalgia and Vintage FAI Era 2 competition. This legendary English power model helped for the dominant configuration used today for locked-down power models. It is an easy to fly airplane which responds predictably to adjustments and handles moderate power levels with ease. Undercambered wing provides a beautiful soaring glide. Our prototype came out under 15 oz with an OS Max III .15 and BMK RDT system.

The J&H Aerospace Eureka kit includes all wood parts and basic hardware, but does not include covering, timer, or DT system. Electric conversion is possible but will require cutting into the fuselage to form a battery compartment. Robust fuselage construction should make it easy to accommodate a lightweight 4s power system for fast climbs. The front end assembly is designed for traditional side-mount engine installation. Some amount of cutting on the bearers may be necessary to accommodate various engine cases.
