Description
This classic downscale by Ross Clements maintains Dave Thornburg’s classic outlines but substitutes completely new structure to make building this 48″ span sailplane a snap! Despite its diminutive size, this model preserves the incredible glide performance of the full scale original. Our Micro BOT builds to about 90g as a pure high start glider and 100-130g as an electric launch sailplane with unlimited vertical climb performance.
Recommended equipment for pure glider:
1s 300-350 mah lipo
3-4 channel micro receiver
Required equipment for electric launch:
3-4 channel micro receiver
6-10A esc
1306-4000 or smaller motor
4.5×3 folding prop

Hey Josh! Please let me know when these “Micr Bot” kits are available! Thanks man!

PLEASE, PLEASE let me know when this is available. I built the original from a kit and LOVED it. I have been building stick-and-tissue kits for close to 60 years and have always thought of doing a small size Bird of Time. Yours looks FANTASTIC!!! Hope I don’t have to wait too long. Thanks.

Any update on ETA for the BOT? I’m losing sleep waiting for this kit!
John Harding –

Just Received my MICRO BOT today 11/9/20. What a Super Looking Kit. The Covering being included is a real nice touch. I want to get started on this ASAP, but I do have a full building board, so it might be awhile….UNLESS we get a virus lockdown. I’ll have something to do!!

I have had my Bot completed and flying for over 6 month now and it is a great plane. I have flown it in winds up to 15mph with higher gusts. I have a V tail and the Conventional tail Bot and love them both. Easy to build and great fun to fly. I’m thinking to get the Drifter.
